Windows Phone applications
C# .NET XAML
A wrapper for the Plex web application for use when the official store app craps out. Unlike the official store app it can be resized to a small window and to actual full screen.
I found the official app to be unreliable on my Surface - it would often fail to play media and would crash when changing quality - while the web app was working fine so I whipped up this replacement. It got taken out of the store by Plex after a couple months however.
Where Are They?
Always know where your loved ones are!
You can see on a map where your loved ones were the last time their phone uploaded their position (every 30 secs when the app is in the foreground and about every 30 mins when it's closed - or more depending on the phone battery level and such), can get the postal address of where they are and directions to go there, can know when was the last time they sent position, and you can pin a tile per device on the home screen which displays a small map showing the location, so that you know where your loved ones are at a glance. If you need a little privacy you can disable sending your position for a while.
CPLayer is a UPNP/DLNA compatible streaming media player. It will let you play your videos and music located on your NAS or any other UPNP/DLNA server located on your local network directly on your phone.
- save any server, folder or media file as a bookmark
- pin bookmarks to the home screen for quick access
- download media files in the internal phone storage for off-line viewing
Trigger torrent downloads on your computers remotely!
With this app you can control the Transmission installations running on any devices on your network or on Internet (if you have configured your router accordingly). Open magnet links, torrent links or torrent files on your phone, send it to your PC running Transmission, close your phone. You're done, your PC will keep downloading it.
Note: this is not a Torrent downloader in itself; it's a remote control for Transmission, a free open source Torrent client compatible with multiple OSes (Windows version: http://sourceforge.net/projects/trqtw/). More details: https://www.tranmissionbt.com .
If you use Fuelly, you know that writing down that info at the pump and uploading it later is a hassle. For that, Fuelly offers sending fuel ups using their mobile web site or by sending text messages. However, if your data connection is slow or unavailable the mobile web site is not always usable, and remembering the text message format without making any mistake isn't all fool proof, especially if trying to send out complex ones.
This app lets you send your fuel ups via text message very easily. Just choose the phone number to use (US, UK, Canada) and set up your different vehicles and text message shortcuts once and you're good to go. You can then send fuel ups very easily even without a data connection.
Prepare and schedule your Facebook status updates in advance.
Define all of your post's details in advance and the app will publish it for you on your wall or on your page's wall at the date and time you indicate. And, if you don't have proper network connectivity at the time, it will keep retrying until you do.
